02 AI & workplace automation
Complex paperwork. A simpler way through.
Rigid reporting templates can turn useful information into hours of repetitive administration. My document automation work combines AI-assisted writing with reliable Microsoft Office automation.
The content can be reviewed in Excel, then used to populate complex Word templates consistently — including the awkward tables and required sections.

A little judgement goes a long way
Not every problem needs AI.
Sometimes the useful answer is a formula, a macro, a clearer process or an explanation that finally makes sense. I start with the problem and choose the tools that earn their place.

03 / A bit about me
An educator who builds things.
I'm Mike, an adult educator and digital skills trainer based in Canterbury. Since 2022, I've taught digital skills, ESOL and Microsoft 365 at Kent County Council, working with people whose experience ranges from their first mouse click to using technology at work.
I also develop Kent Classrooms and practical administrative automation. That combination keeps my work grounded in both the technical detail and the experience of the person using it.
My wider background includes running businesses and teaching adults and professionals in the UK and internationally.
